Gooooooool

Jasper had a fabulous day at the football, and thanks to Eduardo's friends, had a chance to run onto the pitch with a group of children and wish the players good luck. He did it all by himself, and in fact ran so far out that he and Bia had to be retreived from mid-field and put back in their places. Heh.

Swimming Champion

Jasper demonstrated on Saturday morning that he could swim without any help. A true gold medalist (apart from chucking up in the pool I guess).

Ibirapuera Park

Playing with Dadad is so much fun. And when we get too high up, he's there to make sure we don't fall...

Casa da Fazenda

Wednesday was a bank holiday here, so we took Jasper's Dadad to Casa da Fazenda - a lovely restaurant at on old tea plantation in the suburbs of Sao Paulo. Jasper was on fine form, and had a great time playing with the other kids in the garden. He emerged this time with his hands painted with spiderman & batman.... cool.

While the cat's away....

Chris often travels, and sometimes while he is away Eduardo will take Jasper and I on little weekend excursions if we are not heading off to the beach. The mice were playing with bees this time. I think they got a little tipsy on Caipirhinias (the mice or bees?) and we could catch them by their wings... cool!

Already?

After a late night out dining at the oh so lovely French/Bahian restaurant in the hills just beyond Paraty, we were getting ready to head back to Sao Paulo. Jasper was making the most of a glorious sunny day (the first!) by enjoying the hotel pool. He wanted to get a toy from the room to play with in the pool, and when he was told no, he started to sulk. Then whine. Then cry. Finally - sitting dejected at the side of the pool with lower lip thrust out for maximum effect, Jasper said, "Mummy, you've ruined my life because you wouldn't let me get my other toy. You've ruined my life!". Already? Geez, I thought that was supposed to come a bit later...

Paraty Paradise

Is there anything nicer than having a "special chicken" lunch followed by a lazy nap on deck of a beautiful schooner cruising the coast off of Paraty? I think not!

Freak out!

On the way to Paraty last week, we saw a Mc Donalds sign, and of course we took a detour to stop for dinner. The detour was, however, quite out of the way, and after about 5 minutes of side-tracking down a remote beach road, Jasper said, "If I don't get McDonald's soon, I'm going to FREAK OUT!". Highly amusing.

Spiderman, spiderman..

But - he only turns into spiderman when he puts on the mask... don't you forget it!
