A place for everything, and everything in its place....

Jasper is very good about taking his shoes off before (or just after) he comes into the house. For the past two weeks, he has been very careful about where they go. I guess it makes sense that shoes go by the door, but these act as almost a kind of blockade! Jean, do you recognise them? They're old work-horses after only two months! At least we know where to find them we we leave for school at 7:30 am! There's no searching around in the closet anymore...

Backwards Boy

Jasper loves this T-shirt sooooo much that he won't wear it the right way around. He likes it on backwards so he can see Tin Tin in space. Kind of logical if the neck wasn't so snug...
Thanks to Aiden for handing down (back!) this most excellent T-shirt which we bought for him in Thailand!

Sea Monster

The other day at the beach, I noticed Jasper was drawing figures in the sand which had eyes and legs. And then THIS came home from school. I showed it to him and asked what it was... A sea monster. He then took it from me and said it needed legs so it could walk so I gave him a pen & he added them on in ball-point. I agree - it is certainly a monster of some kind. Scary!!!

Drivin' the Boat

Jasper absolutely loved cruising at Barro de Una close to the beach house. The most fun was being chased by two frisky dogs along the bank of the river. Cruising was followed by a lovely "special chicken" dinner at the scenic entrance to the Atlantic.
And of course, a few caipirinhas for the big people!

The Duck Bus

Back to summer holidays! Jasper had a great time on the Duck Bus in Liverpool. In fact, we all had a great time! A vehicle which drives you through some of Liverpool's more famous sights, then races towards and into the water of the Albert docks. Pretty cool! Witty commentary and a pithy iternerary made it highly enjoyable, and Jasper enjoyed pointing out the bus to us in the following days as we saw it touring around downtown.

Beach House

We have already had some lovely weekends at the beach house in Juquehy. A small modest place 15 minutes walk from prime beach and a few nice restaurants. Cleaner air, less TV, and time with friends who are really lovely people. Jasper has shown remarkable patience with their son who is 2.5 years old, and has enjoyed time playing - shall we say - creative games with the materials on hand. I think the photo in question demonstrates some kind of protective headgear made for a knight!

Hot Wheels Boy

It's official. Jasper declared this morning, and re-asserted tonight that he is, indeed, now a "Hot Wheels Boy". No more Jasper the Boy in this house, oh no. He is a lean, mean racing machine. Hot Wheels cars in the bed, Hot Wheels cars in the school bag, and of course Hot Wheels cars playdates with the also Hot Wheels crazed Afonso (in fact, I think Afonso might have started it all). On another note, I am really stuck on a Birthday party theme for Jasper this year. Can anybody help?
